Lukas Gschwandtner

Lukas Gschwandtner is an Austrian artist whose work studies the influence humans have on objects, and vice versa. The result is furniture pieces that either perfectly adjust to one’s sitting behaviour or force the person to place themselves a certain way.

Our Spring/Summer 2024 show in Paris was staged with Pillow Portaits by Gschwandtner.

Conjuring a mood of ‘after-hours liberation’, the ecru canvas-covered set was scattered with ‘soft furnishings’ by Gschwandtner, ‘a place to lose track of time and inhibitions, with a magical mood of anticipation’
